Senior Technical Illustrator

We have an immediate staff need for a Sr. Technical Illustrator to work on-site at our client in the Natick/Framingham area. Job Summary Combine your technical and creative skills to create graphics for technical documentation. As the Documentation Group's sole technical illustrator, you will develop graphics standards for technical documentation by working closely with the Documentation Group's graphics advisory team. You will apply these standards to both new and old illustrations to ensure consistency throughout the documentation. You will work closely with technical writers to help brainstorm ways to visualize technical concepts. You will also mentor technical writers who create simple graphics by responding to their graphics standards and tools questions and by offering graphics workshops. Responsibilities -Design and maintain stylistic standards and processes for the creation of illustrations in technical documentation. -Update graphics to ensure that they follow graphics standards. -Ensure that the graphics creation process produces professional quality output in online, PDF, and printed formats. -Work with and train technical writers to create new graphics and update old ones.
