BACKGROUND:
-Candidate will perform all aspects of implementing reliable flight software, which includes design, documentation, programming, configuration control, debugging and testing. Software applications can include real-time hardware control, MIL STD-1553 and custom aerospace avionics interfaces, telemetry data acquisition and handling, interrupt based task scheduling and autonomous operations.
-Responsibilities involve working closely with a small team to develop the controls and software specifications and test parameters, coding and completely testing the software while maintaining configuration control throughout the design and test cycle.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
-MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 5 years of experience in real-time control applications, or BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 10 years experience in demanding real-time control software development, preferably for a space-based or aerospace application.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
-C or C++ programming language in a hard real-time environment using an RTOS such as VxWorks
-Ability to demonstrate good communication and organizational skills
-Strong Java knowledge demonstrated in a professional environment
DESIRED SKILLS:
-Familiarity with the applications of electronics components for aerospace electronics design
-Knowledge of control devices such as motors, angle encoders, tachometers and gyros
-FPGA programming experience
-Use of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, frequency response analyzers, and logic analyzers
-Experience using Matlab/Simulink and Real-Time Workshop tools for modeling and control design.

Our customer has a temporary to permanent opening for an Algorithm Developer/Software Engineer to work on image processing and pattern recognition. Position will include developing techniques for processing imagery, detecting and classifying objects within imagery, and tracking objects through a 3D environment. Software Engineer will work on a team with other algorithm designers to develop prototype code, and then documenting the results.
Requirements:
-A MS/MA in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with focus on Image Processing, Computer Vision, and/or Pattern Recognition. OR candidates with BS/BA and 3-5 years relevant experience.
-Candidate should have strong software engineering skills.
-Knowledge of structure from motion techniques and graph algorithms is a plus, along with familiarity with parallel computing.

One of our longest standing customers, located in the Bedford/Lexington area, has ongoing needs for Software Engineers to develop concepts, technologies, and prototypes to provide on-the-move tactical military forces with wideband packet network access. All applicants MUST be US Citizens and be eligible to receive Secret Security Clearances.
The Software Engineer will join an interdisciplinary team focused on building and maintaining a large-scale network emulation testbed. Responsibilities will include contributing to the architecture, design and implementation of the distributed control system, supporting experiment management infrastructure and data analysis tools for the testbed.
Requirements:
-Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering and at least 5 years of software engineering experience
-In lieu of a MS, a BS with 7+ years of directly related experience will be considered.
-Experience with TCP/IP networking is essential.
-A thorough understanding of and practical experience with ANSI C++ using the GNU toolchain (gcc/g++, make, gdb, etc.) on Linux is required, as is practical experience with Python.
-Extensive knowledge of best practices in software architecture and software design is required, as well as practical experience in object oriented programming and design patterns.
Preferred:
-Experience in one or more of the following domains is preferred: wireless networking and communications, distributed systems, network experimentation, military networking and communications.
-Familiarity with network management and operations, data analysis techniques, distributed systems and algorithms, databases, and web services is preferred.
-Familiarity with Linux kernel development, Python/C API, RTI DDS, Boost libraries is preferred.
